How do I participate?
Official registration is mandatory and happens first on the NASA Space Apps site. The local form helps us better organize your arrival at the event.
STEP 1
Register on the official site
Every participant must first sign up at spaceappschallenge.org and select the Cartago event so their attendance counts officially.
STEP 2
Complete the local form
Tell us about yourself, your interests, and whether you already have a team, so we can coordinate event logistics in Cartago.
STEP 3
Live the event
Show up on November 14–15, 2026, form a team, pick a challenge, and build your project in 48 hours.

No, participation is completely free, both for official registration and the local event.
Yes, but they must be registered by a parent or legal guardian on the official site and be accompanied or authorized during the event.
It's not required. You can arrive solo and form a team on the day of the event, or register with a team you already have.
No. We're looking for development, design, data, business, and communication profiles. Diverse skills make stronger projects.
The Cartago event is in-person. Venue and schedule confirmation will be shared before the event to those who complete registration.
