Khipu is a non-profit organization with the purpose of supporting Latin American talent, research and companies, by holding events on Artificial Intelligence. In line with this objective, it promotes training in advanced machine learning topics, seeks to strengthen the scientific community and create opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, in order to raise awareness about the uses of AI for the benefit of Latin America.
This year's event took place in Montevideo, Uruguay and the professor Saúl Calderón presented the line of research of PARMA’s groups but also participated in several discussions about how to promote investigation and AI development. Also, the PhD student Manuel Zumbado had the opportunity to present his latest advances in the doctoral paper.
